lil wayne's new song lollipop--- opinions welcome

almost every song he has except a few are real life shit and he raps about real life

think about it only thing u need in life is money

my thing is only 3 things i need is god family and money fvk the rest

Not to jump into an argument of good rap vs bad rap, but all I wanted to say was...

Last time I checked, Cash Money is, was, and has always been THE "money cars and hoes" label. Their music hasn't changed in the past 10 years, so they're not quite jumping on the bandwagon.

They have their target audience, and guess what? It's the same people who bought CMR albums ten years ago, the kind that aren't looking for lyrical masterminds but rather something about "money cars and hoes".

I don't listen to Lil Wayne looking for stories, or life lessons, or really anything intelligent, period.

That's what I listen to Tupac, DMX, Nas, etc. for. And yes, I joined the rap bandwagon way too late to appreciate anything pre-95ish.

And Lollipop is a garbage song. Period. Thanks.

well i don't listen to soulja boy..lil wayne is cool...nothing special..you still didn't answer my question..ALL rappers do it for the money..if they did it for the art they wouldnt need record deals
thats why there's underground artisits on small labels that people never heard of..... and these guys rap for years and they know they'll never blow up and get their songs on the radio, but yet they still keep doin it
