a member on this forum told me that lightning audio had some pretty good 0 guage wire for a good price. I found some on ebay for right under $100 for 50 feet. It says "4704 strand count".

Anyone have any comments on this wire? If it is good then I am going to purchase it because I really need some 0 guage.

I think the Lightning Audio wire is good. I have some and it is the same size as Knu Kolossus and the Kicker Hyperflex. It is in between the Kicker and the Knu for flexibility (leaning more towards the Knu).

That wire on Ebay is their flat version, I have never seen that wire in person. The wire that I have is the round version. Your more than welcome to buy my wire at almost that same price if you want.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif You would not have to buy a full 50ft and would have two different colors.

What is up with this "flat" wire. I haven't really ever heard about that. How much you want for your wire and how much do you have?

i used to use some american bass flat 0 gauge, loved it. easy to run under side panels by the door, under the carpet, etc
i'm thinking of running something similar as well..cause running 1/0 under the side panels is a ***** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/plthumbsdown.gif.d7966af824c93c6021d1aae1778b1c19.gif

they shouldnt need to be special connectors.

worst case just strip more than you need and twist it together into a shape that will fit your terminal.

then use heat shrink or electrical tape to cover any exposed wire.

do the connectors need to be different? I was actually wondering this.

Lightning Audio actually sells special/ flat crimp rings for that wire but a standard round ring terminal will fit as well. It's the same size/ amount of wire but it's just flat/ wider than the standard round wire.

If you buy non audio ring terminals, you will need to get 2/0 ring terminals. When I say non audio ring terminals, I'm refering to welding wire/ electrical type crimp rings.

Alright well I am going to be ordering the flat lightning audio wire tomorrow. I hope it is good. Gotta get juice to my kx2500 so it will stop going into protect mode.
