Ok so yea. My question is what batteries can handle pushing 3k watts paired with a 270 amp mechman alt. I'm trying to lose some weight lol. After I put my system in my gas mileage dropped a bit so I'm trying to come up with ways to lose weight. The 2 65 lb batteries I got now were the first to hit my head. All I know for sure is a Kinetik HC3800 with a hefty price tag of $500.

Meh ain't gonna have the money by then unless I can get rid of my dekas before the 27th...which won't happen. Thanks though...likely will still end up getting a couple of the 5100s...its just rated at 60ah and if I understand correctly in order to make sure I don't dim at full tilt I need to feed my amp 200 amps at any given time. The 3400s are just rated at 65 BTW =\. $250 per 5100 on crutchfield.

Gonna get fiberglass hood and fenders come February...as well as getting tires that are smaller...all should hopefully negate the 300-400lbs of extra weight I shoved in the trunk :S. Was gonna do the fiber glass thing before I got my current setup ne ways. smaller tires? as in not as wide or height? What size do you have now? Going to a smaller (shorter) size will increase your rpm in drive decreasing mpg, when I need new tires on the car I may got to a 65 series instead of a 60, drop like 100 rpm, not much but if you already need tires its kind of like free mileage.

A singole deka 9a31 should be suitable unless you are doing bassrace or blast ur system non stop. That's 60lbs.

I am concerned that u are thinking of gas mileage and weight when you want such a big system. Maybe you should get more cone area going and cut down on power

I got the dekas off of dbeez and if im not mistaking they are the 9a31s. One wasnt enough and I got horrible dimming...so threw another in and now I only dim slightly and next to none when car is above 2k RPM. Also bleh...I love my current setup and refuse to downgrade or upgrade ne thing lol. Only thing ill add or change or w.e is the front state and more sound deadener...everything in the trunk is sound deadened...need some for the rear deck, roof, and front doors...after that I should be fine.

I got 30s in front and 35s in the rear or something like that. Might be 25 in front and 35 in rear...well point is im getting less in the rear so they will match my fronts regardless. Bought 2 new fronts and they were lower than the rears...was going for less rubber ne ways.

i got two spv 70's in the back, not much lighter than dekas but hold at 13+ volts full tilt. Only other option as mentioned earlier is XS if their batteries support the wattage they claim. Takes power to make power. Maybe you shoud downgrade your setup.
