Lift + Bigger Tires or No Lift + Bigger Rims and Low Profile Tires?

the thirty ones shouldn't be much of a weight difference. and with the right tire it should be just fine. the tread design will have a lot to do with how hard it is to get turning aswell.

i'd rather get the wider 31x10.50R15's. How would my gas mileage be? Would it be a lot worse?

You should go check out a ranger forum and ask people that have that setup how their mileage and power is.

as far as the width difference between the two it is barley noticable by eye but the slightly smaller side wall will look sharper. and with the k/o's it shouldn't be bad.

with the BFG the gas mileage shouldn't change much. maybe 2-3mpg

that is kind of a fat looking pictutre. yours won't anything like that size.

if you go with the mud terrain the good years are my favorite

Those look nice. You wouldn't happen to know what bolt pattern I'd need would you? And I still think I'll get a 3" lift, maybe just not right away like I thought I'd have to...
