Couple Alarm questions

I recently just got my system jacked out of my car, but fortuantly insurance is paying for it, but now I want to install a alarm.

First is how hard are they to install? I have been installing systems for years, and im 3 years in on electrical engineering, so I know a crap load of electrical stuff.

Also Im not looking for enything to expenisve since the car is POS. I want something between $100-150, dont really need remorte start, just somthing that makes noise when a door is opened.

the viper 350hv is a pretty standard alarm. if u plan on doing the install yourself, u can probably get it for 100 bucks give or take. my car got broken into too and i'm most likely gonna get this. plus u cant go wrong with DEI.
