Lift + Bigger Tires or No Lift + Bigger Rims and Low Profile Tires?

ya dont lift a 2wd.. lower it with some 20's

with a good set of tires and a small lift a 2wd can do almost as much as a 4wd can. (with small lift) there is nothing wrong with getting some more clearance.

eh...not really into the lowering thing. maybe later on i'll convert it to a 4wd....not sure. as for now, I think I have my mind set to a 3"-5" lift and some nice 32" tires and 15"-16" rims.

Any rims you guys would recommend? (With links!)

As for tires, I really like the BFGoodrich A/T's, but I'm not sure yet....

well i do tires for a living and if you have any questions i'll let you know right now. the BFG a/t right now if the most functional a/t tire on the market. offers great tread life and a surprisingly smooth quite ride. . i still say do the 31x10.50R15 size. they have the most tire/rims option and would be perfect for your truck

That'd be a good thing to know before you get too spry with the new tire size. Don't want to get bogged down to bad. On the upside with a 2wd you'd only have to swap one set of gears if you wanted to down the road.

a 31x10.50R15 is about 2 inches wider and 4 inches taller

or if he went with a 16 inch rim he could do a 265/75/16 which would be a little bit thiner then the 31x10.50r15 but it would be about half an inch taller.

i'd rather get the wider 31x10.50R15's. How would my gas mileage be? Would it be a lot worse?
