Lexus Wiring Disaster

Ok, so nissen15 and myself are attempting to put a head unit in my 1993 lexus. I run to a shop, grab a dash kit and wiring harness. Take out radio and shit and nothing. Realize we have to bypass the stock amplifier under the passenger seat. We get down there, go through a walkthrough or two from lexus sites and NOTHING is working. We were told to take the harnesses from the amp, cut em, and wire them to the aftermarket harness (lengthen through speaker wire, wire them under carpet, through dash, and up into behind radio. Well, after going through all the walkthroughs, none of the wires on the amp match up. We can see all the speaker wires, but the Constant 12v ground is nowhere to be found, as well as battery power and the we think we found the regular power. Has anyone dealt with this before or know where I can find a better walkthrough?

When I did mine, I rewired everything, and ran RCA's to the back and completly took out the Amp under the seat.

And harness kits dont work for the Nakamichi.

It's all actually Pioneer. The headunit, amp, speakers, all stock pioneer.

im so frustrated, i say sell that car.

but for real nothing matches up and we cant find any wiring guide that is accurate.

I would suggest pulling out the meter and doing it the old fashioned way by testing all the wires. Or if you are running an outboard amplifier for the mids and highs the best solution is just to rewire the whole car and take out the factory amplifier.

Dan, I think we got it. Dawgdan dropped me a hell of an email that has a 42 page PDF file explaining every aspect of my car's stereo. Has all grounds listed, powers, etc. IM me or give me a call when you see this, I'll forward it your way.
