My neighbor wants to have a audio system put in her car. From what I found so far I think you have to use the factory head unit no way around it the stereo is integrated in the screen with the temp controls and all. So I think I have to use something like a line level converter or something. What would be the best way to integrate 2 amps to the system? Line level input into the amps or using a line level converter or a "factory system enhancer" Like this

or this

Any help would be appreciated.

couple of things to know about that vehicle...it is factory amplified the amplifier is behind/under the rear seat carpet and the only way to acces it is by removing the rear seat. There is a factory sub under the passenger seat also. The signal wire comeing from the factory amp are not all fullrange signal so a simple loc will not work in this car unless you are just adding a sub. You will need a device that has summing capabilites such as the PXEH650, or RF 3sixty. Cleansweep didnt work so hot on this because to sum in requires for full range signals and this vehicle only has two. Other than that its a pretty simple install

So would I be better off using the factory amp? Also what size is the sub in the car?

I am new to this type of install from what you are saying I cant just use a simple Low level converter.

factory amp has to stay in the car no matter what as it does not have traditional low level inputs so you needs its outputs to get signal for what ever you are adding to the car...dont even bother with the factory sub i think its a 6 and its location lead me to believe is a really shallow 6 so just pretend it isnt even there

yah rx300 aren't fun at all. They have no dash kits as someone said due to the ac and radio being in one unit( dum of lexus but o well) both of those converters will work. Its a simple car just the head unit will be the pain of the install. good luck
