I find myself lowering the level of the mids to make sound more to my liking, is this because my tweeters are not loud enough to match or is something else going on.

That set is plenty loud. Just play with the gain of the Mids and the tweeters. Sounds like they arent level matches.

Make sure you're running your subs -3 and the rest flat try that.

try going standard mode on the 80 prs and go active on the amp if the amp's active capable. Have you ran auto EQ then continue to tweak afterwards? You can always lower unwanted frequencies in the EQ option.

I have a 15db difference between the tweeter and the mids, is this normal? using my phone to measure, I would guess its not very accurate...
