it isn't a stereotype. it's the truth. hip-hop has been dead for close to 20 years. nobody wants to listen to soulja boy or wacka flacka.
lil wayne is the biggest hip-hop icon now & all he raps about is doing drugs, killin people, & bangin ******......
just like the other 17394756586467750923596 rap songs produced in the last 15-20 yrs.
none of that shit has any meaning whatsoever.
While lil wayne does rap about crap like that, he's the number 1 icon because he is actually a talented "rapper" and is actually quite intelligent when he raps. I think he has potential to be a great artist, but has to go with the mainstream b.s. to be sucessful
