Let's get the *capacitor myth* tested on MythBusters!

They used PA speakers in an open space...so yeah, they had several stacks of cabinets, but PA speakers are hardly what I'd use if I was trying to make a ton of infrasound.

If they had tried it in a small room, with long-stroke drivers...would have boosted their SPL at really low frequencies.

Laws of electricity and stuff dude.

The myth you need to have busted is the one about a cap exploding like a stick of dynamite when discharged to fast, or shorting out the connectors.

Now thats a Myth busters kinda thing, ....what could they show about the myth you want setled?

Some dude testing caps and wiring with a mulit tester.....OoOoOo Exciting!!!!!

Ooooh, the debate on the MythBusters suggestion site is heating up! Let's get some of our veteran car audio guys to jump in on this.

The thing that I like the most about this argument is that there are (some) extremely intelligent, highly-experienced people on both sides of the fence.
