Can't wait to see more progress.....did you just make a "resin template" and tape right over the carpet....or how did that tape work, I notice some foil. Looks like it's simple enough overall, I'd like to try my hand at glassin'

keepin in mind this is my first "real" attempt at glassin, its not that bad so far...

I wanted the foil to be like a mold release, sense it wont stick to the carpet. But that didnt work so well, it just kept shifting on me lol. So i just laid a shitload of tape down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif . For the tape, i just took it out as far as i thought id need it for the mold. Then taped plastic trash bags further to keep the other areas clean.

Im workin on my second layer of glass right now, after this im gonna call it a night and see how it looks in the morn.

Alright 1 gallon of resin and probably half my roll of mat later here we are... 2 real nice layers of glass and probably 3-4 coats of just resin.

i hope this ***** is stiff as **** tomarow morning... or atleast good enough to pop out.

its really not that bad, very time consuming though. I dont think i realized how big that well is until a few million brush stabs later lol... my arm is dead.

Was pretty stiff this morning, but im adding a 3rd layer right now and then ill try to pop it out.

yup, considering the fibreglass is stuck to the carpet with tape, and possibly the resin soaked through aswell.
