Doug is a very knowledgeable and good guy...That is fine. Id rather not fight either. I know what I was told and I know that I trust the tester.
I think you should have all the specifics down before posting info/findings on a product. especially if you are comparing it to another. It was on a 12v system and I dont have the specifics.
Both were clamped for output, we didn't clamp incoming voltageI think you should have all the specifics down before posting info/findings on a product. especially if you are comparing it to another.
i only wish we coulda put the 3000d(not mine) on the 16v... both are beefy mofo's.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifSundown 3000d

Woah there big guy...there was no comparo...simply posting up some clamp tests //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gifI think you should have all the specifics down before posting info/findings on a product. especially if you are comparing it to another.
Both were clamped for output, we didn't clamp incoming voltageThe 40 did 7990 after running through burps on a 16v setup.
The 3000d did 2868 on a 12v setup with a couple of batcaps and yellow top under the hood...who knows how low the voltage dropped on either.
Respectable by either at their resting voltage. These weren't 'perfect conditions' either, at a show, after runs. In hindsight, we should've hooked another dmm to the input side to check voltage there too.
1.5 after rise on the 40 and 1.15 after rise on the 3000d
and to the 'comparing'...the OP doesn't compare it any other amp... it's just mentioned the two amps that were clamped that day.
Thanks J, if you did not post in a bunch of threads....

Sundown 3000d
1.13ohm
Not sure of 12 or 16v
2800+ watts
the bold part can be very misleading. Some may think that it was done w/ 16v. That would cause many to think the Sundown is very... weak.
The reason why I said it was being compared is because this thread should only be about the 40.1, but you posted info on the Sundown, which wasn't as clear as the 40.1's info.
