My 2 week old nephew had to go in for emergency surgery a couple hours ago. He had a hernia. They had to remove a testicle. The thing is, today he went in for his 2 week checkup, and before he went in, he was fine. Once he got out, all he did was scream, throw up, and not eat at all. My sister went to change him, and noticed a huge lump close to his thing. I took them to the emergency room, and they told her that he needs surgery because he had a hernia, but they couldn't do it at that hospital, because they didn't have a pediatric surgeon. I took them to the hospital where he was born, and they remove the lump, and the testicle. I'm wondering what type of attorney they need to contact because they think the nurse that did the check up, put too much pressure on the area, causing the hernia. I'm assuming a medical practice attorney, but I'm in no way a legal expert, and should not give any advice, without doing some research. Any help would be appreciated, as we will be contacting the law office of the attorney tomorrow.
