Legacy amps?

Ive been kind of half way searching around for a 4 channel amp with around 50-60 rms x4 for my speakers in my car. Right now they're underpowered running off of my deck. I found a Legacy LA160 300 watt 4 channel amplifier (brand new) that claims to put out 4 x 75rms for only $35 bucks on millionbuy.com. Does anyone know if this amp or Legacy in general are decent amps? This is a very cheap price for a new 4 channel amp so i understand its probably overrated but do u guys think it would at least put out 4x 50rms? Thats all im really looking for.

well i know legacy over rates there watts big time i have a kicker kx150.2 amp 150 watts itll work good for ur componets.. ill let it go 100+shippin

The amp will work fine but the important thing you need to know is that it only does 20 watts RMS per channel. Yes I am serious, 20 watts RMS per channel.

Not 75 watts RMS, 20 watts RMS.

Wow thats REALLY overated. If thats the case i dont think ill be getting it. Thats just not enough power. How do u know its only 20 watts rms? I dont see how anyone can advertise 75 watts if its only 20. Should be some sort of law against that lol.

Id also like to know what some decent 4 channel amps are that WILL put out 50 watts RMS for a cheap price.

Where'd ya get those figures, stones? It's not that I disbelieve you at all (we are discussing Legacy after all) but even the freggin manual for that amp on Legacy's site doesn't list the RMS output figures! (Another thing that doesn't bode well....MAX output #s only)

bdavies11 ~ Profile is a reputable entry-level amplifier manufacturer. Heaps of us here on the forum have run them in the past (and some still currently) with positive results. Have a look >>here

Looks like Prowler put you on the right track, I have installed Profile amps before in some friends cars, and have had no complaints at all, good value for sure.

I've never dealt with uBid before so I don't know if their refurbs have the same track record as IkeSound is gaining here of late but just under a Benjamin for a KX350.4 isn't bad at all as long as the amp's legit.

ubid is listed on kicker.com as an authorized dealer.... kicker factory refurbs with real warranty. It is an estimate based on similar models and maximum current draw.

The LA670 wich is has twice the rated current draw(20 amps) of the 160 has a rating of 35 watts RMS x4 @ 4ohms according to Legacys own specifications.

The LA160 has a maximum current draw of 10 amps so an estimated RMS per channel would sit at about 20watts RMS x 4 into a 4ohm load.
