Left side audio gone...

I have a 2006 cobalt LS, with a stock system, other than Sony rear speakers. I installed them a few weeks ago and everything worked fine, then out of nowhere my front left speaker stopped working. I figured it just died since I had it up pretty loud, with the bass turned up. A few days later, the rear deck developed a really harsh vibration on heavy bass notes, so I took it apart, and fixed the vibration, and went for a drive, not even 5 minutes down the road, the back left speaker quit. Any idea what's going on? A grounded wire? Stock head unit gone bad? Thanks in advance.
