I am building a system for a navigator with all audiobahn components (2x immortal twelves, 2x HCT1500 amps, 2x ACAP300 5 farad caps) any how, I want to insatall some blue LED's to accent the install fron behind the amp rack and also one each underneath the sub grills. lets say I want to install up to ten of them... how do you go abou this? what types of components, wire hook ups, cost, where to buy etc etc. apreciate the help. Or maybe a couple blue neon lights?

Or, maybe not every one is a *****, and can answer the question. I am sure every single question that aplies to car audio has been asked and answered a half million times.

does that awnser your question? if you have a 14.4v electrical system. and the LED is 3v, add another one in or they are running alittle over power @4v per LED instead of 3ish

make sure you use a relay if you chain 2 amps and accessories on the REM.

good luck. use the search next time.

After searchng through the threads in the search, I didnt come acrossed what I was looking for. I have been in construction of fine cabinets for a few years, got into car audio sub enclosures. Obviously starting with sealed enclosures. my construction techniques proved to produce a solid professional looking box, with amazing sound quality. The difference between the store box's I was replacing and my own was so signifigant, I began to really get interested in building sub enclosures. I am now pretty decent and learning how to build custom vented enclosures. I am in the USMC deployed over seas at the moment. but I have a project waiting back home that involves alot of planning. I work with fiber glass on a daily basis my experience in it has helped me do alot of cool aplicataions. I am learning however with the electronics. I found caraudiohelp.com and bought the dvd's and the books. I do an incredible amount of research on all of the subjects and have a passion for learning it all, eventually sending myself to Daytona for the installer institute. I however at the moment am having a bit of trouble finding a decent tutorial on LED installation. Electronics, I can do the basics, and know the basics. but I am limited to baisics. Is there any way any one can hook me up with a link to a good tutorial, or maybe a decent book to buy on ebay or something that is specific to LED's and installation? Thanks Joel Dirt

can i ask what you dind appealing about audiobahn? everyone here bashes them, but for some reason i doubt a lot of them have even used audiobahn stuff. i have only used their amps, and they work really well. also thanks for protecting us and the world.
As far as Audiobahn goes. you can't just throw the subs in any old enclosure and expect them to perform any way you want. I have experienced a handfull of audiobahn components, and I have had the best results ever. THe audiobahn immortal subs pound I know this for a fact and hold to a precision sound quality I will argue they are one of the best sub s out there for power handling spl and sound quality. you ahve to build the enclosures well instead of mediocre like many people do. the amps I have never had any problems, and I love the reliability, the look, the power all around the audiobahn line kicks ***. FOr amazing sound quality from component speakers I guess they aint the best. they are known for their amps and subs. and at that they are bad *** at. as far as protecting my country, I didnt feel like I could have not served my country. I for some reason felt like it was my duty and an honor to do so. THe Marine Corps has toughtr me alot of things lin life. and I would never regret my experience. I have one year left in my five year committment. The experiences I had to this point have humbled me in alot of ways.

I picked up two 10's and an amp from them last month. Yes, it was to sooth an addiction to chrome. However, they do have good sound quality and reliability. You are right tho, you gotta build a decent box for them, as anything... Most ppl get tender becuz you pay for the chrome, well duh, this isn't a car sale where they throw in some bling for free...

That's great to hear. I have a good friend who was also a cabinetmaker by trade and now does car audio custom installation. He goes by Mr Marv on some of the forums.

Here read this: http://www.bcae1.com/led.htm

If you have any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer it for you.

This link is perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. the entire site is kick *** very clear and informative. Thanks alot man, I knew there was someone out there with aleast the knowlege of where to find the exact info I was trying to locate. It's what the idea of the forums is for so people can help eachother out rather then just talk shit back and forth to people who are still learning, and from people who don't know all that much them selfs. Thanks alot man.

well if you want any good idea's go to sounddomain.com and Varad has some good LED's a lot to chose from. from blinking (like alarm LED's) to LED strips and strobes. Yes thank you very much for serving our country, my cousin was in the Marine Corp.
