Man, I missed some more drama last night. Anyway, people like to get nasty and point fingers at the moderation staff as if we are willy/nilly just clicking buttons on the forum with no plan or reason just because we are bored or there is some "cool" or "in crowd". Both are so wrong, it's almost comical. Seeing that a moderator was banned justly so for his actions, should speak volumes, so there is no protecting going on here.
What seems to be the source of West's frustration, along with almost every other minor to major issue, are all discussed in the moderator section in depth for a while. If anything, we could be criticized for not reacting fast enough because we spend too much time discussing the right decision. To me, the fact that Dustin is wasting quality time with his family, during a meal, on this SKAR drama, is insane. He shouldn't feel compelled to do so, but he does because he clearly gives a crap about trying to do the position of moderator fairly and properly.
Also, the complaining about banning SKAR. We as moderators are not able to do that. Vendors have a separate arrangement with Goob, as in it is his and only his decision to keep or remove vendors. I think most can assume his P.O.V. based on a steady monthly recurring income from it.
As for the current mod team, as I have been on it from when Goob started having moderators, I feel, that right now, the core group of moderators are probably the most cohesive group that has been since day 1.
