I am a mod on another site. We (moderators) would never let it get this far. Skar audio would have been banned as a vendor at the drop of the 1st or 2nd complaint. This is not the first time this has happened with a vendor. Being a mod is a thankless job, and it really blows at times. However, nobody hates a good moderator.....

Retroactively going through posts and banning someone over something that is a week old is not cool. If the mods receive a few reports of a post, I could see banning someone within 3 days of that post. Going through old posts and discovering something that is offensive is BS in my book. Also, just 1 or 2 reports doesn't necessitate a ban, especially if someone has a grudge or vendetta. The fact that this started after a dispute on Facebook really takes the cake....

I just don't see that. If your not sure use the report feature and see how that works. We can not be every where so if you see something wrong report it.

As for the "og" members you are actually very far from the truth their. They move on from audio or have life alter events that take then away from a forum. This tends to happen over time.

I'm still here mofo! I was MIA since 2008 for 4 years due to college. But yes a lot of OG members that I use to know aren't here anymore, So I missed out what's going on for the last 4 years...meh where did the time go?

Sorry, I shouldn't have said "banned". I mean warned, which leads to a temporary ban. Its pretty easy to rack up warnings on this site.

It's pretty easy to avoid, just keep all of you jack-assery in the dome and you're fine. I've never had an infraction that I didn't deserve, lol.

Not really. The 2 infractions I've had were both received from comments I made in the dome. This is the internet, so it doesn't make any sense why anything should be censored in the dome. I could see stalking or physical harassment being an issue, but not what somebody says over the internet....... I remember the days of CB radio and HAM radio where people would track each other down for a physical beatdown. Not this internet thug crap....

His anger is very valid. And West has no problem with DC Creations (to my knowledge). Mod Pro-Rabbit should not be associated with DC Creations. So far PR has not shown a hint of the two clashing, and I respect him for that, if nothing else. West's problem is with the mod staff and how this site has been handled.

Can't the vendors moderate their own forums though? I can understand mods getting involved in the situation if the vendor requests it. I personally think the rules are very fairly enforce on this site. West and 007 are being a bit ridiculous, overreacting about an insignificant situation.
I honestly don't feel at home if I'm romping around the forums without an infraction.

They can. Im not sure what powers they hold in their own subsection though. I do know they can lock/close threads.

I would like to put out however, that I DID say this would happen in kevin's subforum that was being dumped.. Im kind of psychic. Now Ill make another prediction that all the knowledgeable people who claimed they would leave if this happened will not go anyway (minus west.. he seems pretty sincere).

Show me where he has been an asset to this site. All he has done is whined about mods enforcing rules and excessively bumping a Skar thread.

Post dumping is against the rules. So is skamming people.
May I say this as I button things up here.

Pro-rabbit gave me an infraction for a quote from another member.

All this was started in facebook far away from this forum. From a member who had a disagreement with "rabbit".

The issue is this. The moderators choose when they want to enforce the rules based on who they like and who they dislike. He had an angry customer and he persists to hold that customer to a higher standard. The fact that this happened with a Skar issue only makes matters worse.

It's very convienient when he (and a few of the other mods) decide to "do their jobs" as moderators. And trust me I can understand completely why being a mod is a thankless job. Lots of gray area's etc.

Skar should have been banned a long time ago. But that is besides the point.

The post in question (that I recieved an infraction for) had been up for over a week and then pro-rabbit decided to handle the issue after he was called out in a facebook secret group.

Rabbit wanted to look "fair" and unbiased so he did some house cleaning.

I do give pro-rabbit props for owning up to it. I will not be here anymore. I am on diyma.com and fb. If any of you guys ever want to talk audio (jstankov@utk.edu on facebook and westco on diymobileaudio.com)

After this and the nonsence with MOT I really shouldn't stay here. I enjoyed posting with a lot of the members here. I wish everyone all the best.

Every member that gets an infraction cries wolf that they were teamed up on by Mods and they got their infraction. Fact of the matter is you know you were breaking the rules in the first place. This should be no surprise.

Right, ok. Whatever helps you sleep at night. That report button doesnt do shit unless someone is sucking your dick. But everyone thats caught onto it you guys have either banned or run off bc they're sick of your guys' shit. And for the OG comment I'm pretty right on because many of them are still in audio and on other forums.

Seems your delusional. Ive never seen a reported post go unchecked or no action taken on a reported post. I dont even look at the username that sent the report.
