Learned of my states noise laws...the hard way

my local law is that if they dont have a mic and cant tell you how many db's you were doing at the time then they cant do shit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

25 feet???

the lil 30 watt RMS sub on my computer speaker system can be heard from that far away when i turn up the volume (and EQ down the highs so that they don't break the windows).

it should be at least 50 or 100 feet before an offense is committed.

i dont know about ny noise laws .. but i was in a parking lot right next to like 4 cops tuning my system .. dont think they really minded it ..who knows .. or maybe .. it wasnt loud enough .. 44/60 volume lvl ..

i got a ticket before i knew they couldn't do anything and they said they have never heard anything so loud and he would tell me to turn it up so his "partner" could hear it if we weren't in a public place //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif losers.....

I got pulled over a week ago, first time ever. I apolagised, stated that it had never been an issue before, and that it would never happen again.
I was then treated like a sack of shit and told never to so much as turn my radio on in the city of Riverside. I wasn't issued a citation, which for me was the only pleasent part of the whole situation.

Am I mad at the police for pulling me over?

No. I deserved it.
I wouldn't be mad about being pulled over either. However, i would be mad at the officer for being an ******* about the whole thing. Kind of like getting ticketed when you're going 7 over in a 45 and people around you are doing 60. It isn't that i'm mad because i was pulled over, i'm mad because you're getting me for speeding when theres people right in the next lane doing worse.

i know i've cranked my system and stepped away 25 to 30 feet and the boomstick read 90 db was loud could hear it well over traffic then a freakin cop came around the corner and i got back in my car like nothin happened.

i just saw on the news they changed the laws around here, if you can be heard from 25ft away its $100, and $100 dollars more for each subsequent offence until it gets to $300
I hope thats only a sacramento law and not statewide //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Thats my thoughts exactly. And I also thought that they would not issue a noise ticket while in Daytona Fl for the Spring Break Nationals. But I proved that one wrong lol

Thankfully I havn't had any problems yet with cops. I turn it down at stop lights so i dont bother the peeps beside me and when going through residential areas.

Of course my luck might change when I get my new 1500W amp in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
