Yesterday I went to have my Audiocontrol LC6 and Epicenter added to my system. The LC6 was going to replace my old legacy line out converter. They had everything hooked up but we were going to use a remote turn off switch for the system even though the LC6 has an auto turn on and auto turn off. Now with the remote off the LC6 was on and when I turned the switch on all the lights dimmed and the remote turn on wire burned up. The installer and shop owner had never heard of Audiocontrol or the LC6 and Epicenter. Now with the LC6 and no remote turn on everything was fine, nothing burned. I told them we shouldn't use a remote out since it has an auto turn on. They said "oh no it's not supposed to turn on without the car on". The LC6 will turn on along with the amp when I unlock the car buyt when I lock the car it goes off after a min. But they still said it's not supposed to turn on when I unlock the car. They told the unit was defective and were talking like Audiocontrol was crap. They had my buy a cheap *** $8 Audiopipe LOC just like the one I had before the LC6. It hooks up just like the LC6 and we didn't use a remote switch and guess what! The converter they gave me does the exact same thing it turns on when I unlock the car and goes off a a min after I unlock it. So what do you guys think? I ended up paying for 5 hours of labor for a Audiopipe LOC and an Epicenter installed. Should I just go to another shop that is authorized by Audiocontrol and have them put in my LC6? There was no problem with the LC6 when they dind't use the remote switch.
