Laying the Kicker Stuff Down

The DC will want more power to really shine.. I dont know about the TC
It's not going to "shine" any different on more power than any other sub would. It doesn't have vtec that makes it's performance peak as the power increases. My APX18 can handle 5k daily and "sounds" just as good off 500 watts as it does off 1500 (just a decibel difference)

Just in case no one caught it. Apparently there is LOTS of misinformation in this thread and there are LOTS of people in the thread willing to point that out. Now stop reading this before your mind in corrupted with misinformation.
Hah I started typing that while there were only two pages, it ended up on the 5th page or whatever when I poasted it

The DC from my personal experience needed closer to the higher recommended rms to dig deep. If didn't understand where I was coming from I'll spell it out better next time. He can get more out of his sub if he keeps the recommended power closer to the high side

More output, that's it. Sure, there is a very tiny amount of additional distortion with increased movement, but other than that, there is no difference in sound. What you experienced is that the low notes are less noticeable off small amounts of power than they are at higher power levels. That's all just a factor of decibels, and it in no way relates specifically to DC.

Didn't say it was just DC. I said I didn't know about the epics efficiency. I've never delt with them
