OK so ATM, I have a 12 kicker l7 in a kicker ported box off a JL 500/1. It's loud as eff! Got me 142.2db off lil waynes 6 ft 7 ft song. However the SQ isn't quite good enough. Wont go low at all! So does anyone have any suggestions on what to run off this same amp to get about as loud and def increase SQ?? I LOVE loooooow bass! Thinking one 12w6 sealed. Or 2 12w3s sealed. Sealed for the sq of course. But idk still a noob. Throw me some suggestions.

ok if you really want the low end, then stay away from sealed. man up and go ported. i dont know why people think you cannot obtain SQ with ported. and stay away from that overpriced stuff.

do not tune at 27 hz. not recommended and everything else will sound like crap. your deff not going to get SQ when tuned that low
i agree that it will definitely sarcrifice your higher end bass but you don't lose SQ based on tuning...

personally I would only tune that low if you had a larger setup. 30hz will work just fine without sacrificing too much. that's what i use and I get plenty of lows no problem

put on is 28hz. just cause you tune to 30hz doesnt mean you cant hit 28.

the lowww note in bass i love you is like 4hz or some bullshit like that. tbh i would never play that song in my car as something that low, especially in a ported box, will just destroy your subs

Had a Q 18. Ddnt really like it. Coulda been my setup, idk. Anything else? Remember JL 500/1
You must have done something wrong. Great woofer.

I disagree.

Please, no JL.
Get a FI Q 12" and throw it in a 2.5ft^3 box tuned to 30 hz and call it a day.
Too little power imo.
