Laying the Kicker Stuff Down

so the older hatch tC, do you know the maximum outer dimensions of the enclosure you are planning on putting in there.....one you can take in and out without disassembling the whole back end?
About 38.9 wide 20 deep.. And just tall enough to mount sub. That's max. Wud prefer smaller

SSD might be a better option if youre wanting to stick with Fi. SA-12 would be closer to your power
Not really interested in Fi, and did they start back making the ssd? But I've heard good things about that Sa12. What about tc sounds epic ( I think) whatever the lowest one is

yeah the SSD line is back up. pretty cheap and they weigh a lot less. shipping for 2 18"s SSD's vs. 2 18" Q's was half ($50 -> $100)

your sub is more than capable of going "low" tune your box to around 30-35 and you'll be fine. the tc can actually fit quite a decent sized box in the trunk.

i have a 2007, and love the **** out of it. great car.

do not tune at 27 hz. not recommended and everything else will sound like crap. your deff not going to get SQ when tuned that low
Wrong

i agree that it will definitely sarcrifice your higher end bass but you don't lose SQ based on tuning...
personally I would only tune that low if you had a larger setup. 30hz will work just fine without sacrificing too much. that's what i use and I get plenty of lows no problem

put on is 28hz. just cause you tune to 30hz doesnt mean you cant hit 28.

the lowww note in bass i love you is like 4hz or some bullshit like that. tbh i would never play that song in my car as something that low, especially in a ported box, will just destroy your subs
Just because you tune low doesnt mean you cant have upper extension either. Besides who needs high end bass? Thats where your mids are supposed to be. If your front stage is setup properly your mids will play down to atleast 60Hz.

If you want SQ and efficiency look at the Dayton HO or HF 10's or 12's.
