It's been a long time since I have posted. I am wondering whats the latest fad in this forum now ?

How's those Mach 5 audio subs coming along ? Anyone ever try out that SPL subwoofer they released here while back ?

DD's still pleasing as always ?

I noticed RE goes super cheap on ebay ? Why ? What a shame, unless im just judging price for poor quality.

What's hitting good numbers and doesnt cost alot that Ive missed out on for over a year now ?

I still got my same ole ORION P SERIES 10's hitting 132.3 at the dash of my van 12ft away lol. I'm making more money now, and want more sub.. please give opinions for me to research.

RE is still around and doin well. there were recently purchesd my USamps and i would say in a butshell, that transaction save them from a certin death. i realy can coment on why there so cheap on ebay, but ill admit, my RE SE came from Ebay. i payed 189 for a 15. im was pleased.

another sub manufacture thats hot on the scean is FI car audio. basicly what happend here, is 1 or a few guys who started RE, left after USamps bough them and started FI. they are pretty much the new RE, and a very well repected in the car audio world. the FI BTL i think has quite a few SPL world records, and drivers like the FIq do very well in the SQL department

the Mach5 gear is pretty solid considering there price. i think one member on here just installed the SPL driver recently, but no numbers yet. i got a chance to see the SPL12 at a local dB drag mark put on. very clean looking and obviosly purpos built units. i hope to see some in action this year at some local dB drags.

AudioQue wich i think is the most recent driver compaany ive hurd about, is a sibling comapny to DD. a few guys on here have be using them wich good results

i think thats a decnt start, im sure some other will add

yea it's crazy how adire and tc bit it like that. I remember when adire was one of the most popular brands on this board, now it's rare to even see them anymore. Times sure do change.

Digital Design going down hill ? I dont get this statement, I thougth DD's were the world holder for single 18" woofer ? FI is owned by Scott right ?? Or maybe I'm mixxing up the Mach 5 originator.

Anyhow last I was on here it was " Alpine type r or nothing else for the price" , The new FI car audio being a big hit, and Mach 5 was wroking on the SPL woofer , but had not released it yet. An DD ????? DD was always admired and envied no matter what date or day .. so whats about DD now ? Are they not what they used to be or is there better for the buck ? I watched some DD 3512's in a local shop here "FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE TO EVER SEE A DD IN ACTION" and they were makeing my shirt bounce making subwoofer boxxes bounce around. Maybe I am just an optimistic DD person since it's been my dream woofer. But I guess there is better out there now.. Please opinions on these new subs that have been spoke of.

DD isn't goin down hill in terms of spl. JimJ just doesn't like subs that aren't geared towards SQ. So in that retrospect DD does sound like crap but get loud as hell

You sure do like throwing your sound quality minded opinions at people. Some people like loud music, some people do like sq, just not so much on this board. No reason to get on someone for there personal decisions on how they like there audio Jim.

Audioque and Fi seem to be the main guys this year, sooooo far that is. DC Audio is up and coming, IA is still around, mainly for their amps. RE went mainstream for the most part. DD is getting more and more expencive but still hold there own in the SPL scene.
