Yea, well I think the main reason was the runway was getting soft. 100ton jets sinking like thick tar mud.

I know the engines might also have issues with the ambient air being 120ish DEGREES.

I think the runways and ramps are concrete but if those jets wander off them...

Castille informed the officer that he had a firearm which he is/was legally licensed to carry. Officer told him not to pull it out, Castille told him he wasn't. He reached for his wallet to get his i.d. which the officer asked for and the cop put seven bullets in him, killing him in front of his gf and daughter.

According to the link it's because as air temp rises air density is lowered making it impossible for some jets to take off because of lack of lift.

Lack of lift?.. That's scary those jets need all they can get at takeoff they weigh HUNDREDS of TONS... and what is the speed they must attain before takeoff?.. 150?

But a civil suit is in the works I bet... acquitted is only regarding criminal charges. The city, county or someone can be held responsible.
