lasik eye surgery

yea, i am almost legally blind with out my glasses....20/120 vision IIRC //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i just had it done about 2 months ago, and no regrets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif 15/20 vision right now, and it might get better. everyone at the docs office had it, my sister, aunt, and a few friends have had it. and none of them regret it.

as far as financing, that is going to depend on where you go. but for the love of God, please do not choose your doctor based only on price. i can't say that price isn't an issue, but realize that this is a costly surgery, and you should defenitely do your homework.

i got it when i turned 18(4 years ago) and i just got back from the eye doctors about a month ago and I still have 20/20.

i had asthygmatizm(sp? lol i'm not even going to try to look up the correct spelling of that) and everything is just great now.

definately glad I got it done

My wife just had the PRK surgery done. The Air Force paid for it, so I don't have any clue how much it would cost on the outside. I will tell you though that the doctors in the Air Force won't do Lasik. The big difference is in Lasik they cut a little flap on your outer eye and then reattach it, but in PRK they just completely remove it. The doctor said they had some problems with Lasik patients where the flap never healed back to they eye, other cases where the flap got wrinkled, distorting the person's vision. Lasik is a lot less painful than PRK, but my wife was only hurting for about 3 days, then she was fine. Now she has 20/15 vision and loves not having to wear glasses. Except sunglasses, you're gonna need those for a LONG time.

oh i'm sure u need sunglasses for a while. i went and got a normal eye exam and they gave me drops to open up my pupils. i was fine until i walked outside and it took me like 5 minutes to find my car in the parking lot. then i had to drive to work. that sucked. but i'd still love to lose the glasses/contacts
