more air flow, but dude depending on the tuning, that 12x6 will be LONG

I knew about the port noise, and i know the port will be real long but im just trying to get a general idea of where to start.. Now what happenes if the port area is to large... Considering the box is actually big enough

i would just do the 12x3. the rule of thumb i belive is 8:1 ratio, so that 4:1 is more than enough

well from what i figured in a 6^3 enclosure tuned to 30 hz with a 15.5 x 3 inch port area the length is only about 16 inches..?? that sound right

Well yea its 6 cubes before displacement , sub and port.. so 5 or so net... So go up to a 15.5 x 4 inch port and make the length around 2 feet... sounds good
