Laptop HDD & Memory Questions???

Looking to upgrade the HDD and Memory in my laptop. I am considering drives from Seagate and Hitachi. Both are 100GB and 7200rpm. Cost is pretty much the same. Anyone have any thoughts on either? Reasons to choose one over the other? I am also going to upgrade the memory to 2G. I am looking at Kingston from Newegg but I see some listed on ebay that is cheaper. Do the cheaper rams work well or is it worth it to invest in higher price products? My laptop has pc4200 533Mhz installed from the factory. I assume there is no reason to go above that. Correct? My CPU is an intel T2500 @ 2GHz. Thanks for any thoughts.

Either hard drive should be fine, I'm running 2 Segate 160gb drives and I haven't had any problems. As for memory I would get it from Newegg.

neweggs cust service is worth the extra price if anything goes wrong

Yeah, I think the customer service would make it worth a couple of extra bucks. Besides, when looking at memory on Ebay I find that most charge more for Kingston than Newegg. My memory question was really more of a off brand compared to Kingston. Are they equal or is there a difference? Just curious.
