Laptop for College

Well I need to buy a new computer for college. Mostely I will be running AutoCAD, photoshop, and other rendering programs as such. I was just curious, since I have been seeing alot of other computer threads, what you all suggest for specs. I have been looking at HP and Dell but all suggestions and opinions are welcome. I dont want to spend over $1500!!!!!

I just bought my new one for college today, Toshiba with 160gb hdd, 15.4" widescreen, 2gigs of ram, cd/dvd burner...ect bunch of goodies, it was $910 out the door with a printer and wireless router (bundle package they had), and I still have $150 in rebates to send in, so basically payed $750 for it all.

talk to your school about computer company's. i know here at WSU, we get perdy good deals on dell stuff. Although im not a fan of dell, there are some pretty sweet deals heh.
