Whats the deal with this?

I was looking for a cheap amp to power my 15" R / TCAB Combo and was looking for something around the 1500 TRUE watt area.

At first i was stuck on the eD Nine.1 and the Soundstream 1500D because they were both in the 350 range and did around 1500 watts which was perfect for me

but then i went to lanzar and they have Opti2000D's for like 370 that are stable down to .5 of an ohm and do 2200 watts rms? those seem like a CONSIDERABLY better deal to me because its almost the same price as the 1300 - 1500 watt amps but is capable of up to 2200 @ .5, but im only running it at 1 ohm and am going to set the gains around the 1500 watt area

why are these things so cheap? ive heard that there good and do rated power, but whats with the price? are these things for real

Yea they are good. I'm running one, albeit only at 4 ohms, but its a big solid amp.

Made overseas in sweatshops using marginal components would be my guess.

a guy on my team had one running his 2 12 L5's with 1100 to each one..amp was solid as hell. i wish i would have got one instead of my soundstream.

fyi soundstream 2000d's are around $350, lanzar is a better deal tho..200 more watts..lanzar has a badass warrantee program too

well this amp does 1.9k @ 1ohm and 13.8V

so it's ok amp, they run pretty stable at any load, and are great everyday amps
