I can get the Lanzar for $350 with a 1 year warrenty and i can get the Orion 2500D for $400 with a 90 day warrenty from ikesound (6 month from DEI) and its a refurb. The amp will be going to 2 10" DD 3510d's (4 ohm). These are going in a reg. cab f-150 and im not going to compete but i want it to beat really hard and be able to feel it. I will have about a 3.5 cu. ft. ported box and i was wondering if these amps will be that noticeably different? Its about another 70 bucks for the orion but its got a little less warrenty but ive heard nothing but great things about both but i want to do it right the first time. Also, the Lanzar does about 1700rms x 1 @ 1 ohm where the Orion does 2500rms x 1 @ 2 ohms. Is it really going to be that much different if i was running the Orion instead of the Lanzar? Thanks for all your help guys.

I can get the Lanzar for $330 with a 2 year warrenty and its a refurb and i can get the Orion 2500D for $400 with a 1 year warrenty and its also a refurb. Thanks for all your help guys.
P.S.- Just found that the Viper 2500.1 is $350 with the same specs as the Orion but with only a 90 day warrenty.
I think you better double check your voice coil configuration. I don't think DD makes any single coil 3510's. Maybe you have Dual 4? In that case, it can be wired to a 1 ohm load.

The Viper 2500.1 may be 2ohm stable only, you better check.

yes i have DVC 4 ohm subs. Oh, i didnt know the Orion went to 1 ohm and the Viper didnt, or didnt safely. You think this system will hit pretty hard and you will be able to hear it aways outside the car?

The point is that it sounds good INSIDE the car.. Outside the car it should be silent.... But if you are looking to annoy people, you could achieve it with 2500w + or power I suppose. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

But I vote the Orion

This forum doesn't condone stupid actions like making the area outside of your vehicle loud. If you want to do bass that way, you can go back to jacking off to Audiobahn. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/satan.gif.9c6a335ed7aeeed3ee273e573f1fcaac.gif

As has been stated, the Viper isn't even built for a 1 ohm load. But both amps kick ***, regardless. Get the Orion.

Well im in high school so you know thats the cool thing if you can hear your car 3 blocks away and stuff. I think ill go with the Orion but im not sure about the refurb. I dont want to get a shitty amp and it not work right since its originally a refurb.

Refurbished means it was sent back to Orion and fixed of all problems, therefore it should be basically brand new, other than cosmetic defects. Ikesound has some awsome refurbs btw.

Ikesound is very reputible for their refurb quality. It is their customer service that sucks ***.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yeah well I thought ike sound said they are not a direct dealer. So I thought that all stuff that was broke when you get it and you send it back to them was fixed by ike sound not the regular manufacture. Hence the refurbs?
