L7 blow ***. They have weak surrounds and sound like poo.Cerwin Vega Strokers look like poo but the VMax was alright.

And if you are talking about the MTX 9500 I'd go that route.

Ya and I placed second in a SQ comp with 4 pioneer 12 inch subs. Unless its from a reputable sq comp and I see published scores I dont put much faith in them. And thats not just in reference to this debate, its in any situation

**** the L7's... get a MTX 15" 9500 (9515), heard it at Stereo Connection and that sub is amazing. Probably my next sub after this custom TC9... MTX 9515 will smoke L7's all day long.

ok... nvm bout my last question... now i'm stricted to 1 set of Lanzar OPTI4000D or 2 sets of MTX TA81001 to power 4 12" L7 06... so which amp should i choose???

I ran an 8500 for a while,gets really loud with

very little power (500-600 watts). . . MTX also has top notch CSR

I reccomend them if you like that SPL oriented woofers

the MTX's are shit. Ask snoopdan how many cones he has cracked on them. Total waste of moey. I would take the L7's hands down.

Well if he is cracking a lot of em' he MUST be doing something wrong. Cause I have seen mtx's run free air with rediculous amounts of power and have never mechanically failed with a broken cone. Also for all the woofers mtx shipped in 05 less than 2% came back for service or repair. You sure he doesnt have something in his trunk thats hitting the subs?
