reliability issues? are they're any major ones, i know the solo x is a little picky when it comes to enclosures and power handling, considering dropping one of these 15's into a honda civic si..... how durable is the cone itself and how and what makes the solokon cone more superior than a parabolic cone or a carbon fibre cone... never had the chance to listen to one in person, only the cvx 15 and how do they compare to each other... any L7 owners feel free to input any and all info...

Im very happy with my l715, hard clean bass. Ive heard there voicecoils are kinda iffy but i have had no problems with them.

my L7's were great when i had them, never had any problems, gave them clean power, and the new owner has been very happy so far. great subs IMO

thats what i wanna hear, do they sound alot different then they round cvx's, or totally install dependant...

i have never heard a cvx so i couldnt tell you, but i wouldnt hesitate to go with a L7 ever again

I love mine....I throw 1000 watts to it daily and sounds nice and tight! I have one 2006 12L7 wired in 4 ohm load hooked up to a Kicker 06ZX850.2 pushing 850 RMS(kicker rating) @ bridged in 4 ohm load.....but then again my box is 2.2 cubes, tuned to 34hz. I love it!....for the money L7s can't be beat...I paid $220 shipped for my 2006 L7 12 DVC-2 ohm. Great Sub! Strongly Recommend! for SQ Subs

In my opinion, The L7 hits louder, harder, and cleaner then the cvx. Along with that the L7 has more cone radius.

why i asked about the cone too is i have had 2 9500's and both had issues with cone deformaties in a short time of play.....one the cone cracked, hell if i know how it happened and the second one by feel was heavily distorted by touch.... i was whack.... glad i never owned them, just friends rides...lol... mtx ftl

LOL, yeah dude, MTX ****, in my opinion, I don't care what model you have. I have had anything from a $50 MTX to a $600 MTX and they ****, period, lol. I am diehard kicker fan myself. I have only dealt with kicker subs and amps for the past 7 years. The only thing I had a problem with is I blew a Kicker 2004 12L7 with my current amp. I don't really like the older L7, L5 models. That's why I have the 2006 12L7 now and ****, what a difference, they fixed the little discrepancies that the older models had with the voice-coils, cones, and what not.
