L5s aren't loud anymore.

at one point i fed my 15L5 D4 the full 1740 off my D300HC for 6 weeks. never had 1 issue.

what kind of amp would you all recommend for 2 12's l5's setup as 1 ohm load... in a ported box tuned to 34 htz.

i also have a hifonics. brutus for me though. its usppose to be pushing them 1200 watts at 1ohm load. like suggested but if the rating thing is true that means im only giving them 900 watts...

I have one of those Hifonics amp hooked on a 15" l7 and it bangs real hard get a 15" l7 and youll be happy should be louder than both l5's.

Your L5s don't need much power. 400~700W is MORE than enough. If I were you, I'd DEFINITELY try out a bigger box. I had two 10" L5's using the same amount of net internal volume... (shoot for 4.5 ft^3 net, tune to 35ish)

also i'm not sure what isn't loud enough for you? i've heard and owned a setup of an L5 15" that did upper 140's off 800 watts so there is potential there.

I was thinking about getting a PA A3000 and a AudioQue HD3 15", this would blow my kicker setup away would it not?

Guys I want you understand my kicker setup is LOUD.. its easily in the 140s

it might be in the 140's but i wouldn't say easily. if you have stock electrical, no deadener, or that small amp kit, you're limiting power. at least that's just a basic guess b/c of you're tiny box and low port tuning. my single L5 15" box was about 4.7cuft net and ported to 42hz peaking around 49hz.

yeah its just akwardly loud.. but yet i still need more ! lol... i guess I need to try a new box before I go and change subs and shit.. what did you guys think of what I wanted to get next? AudioQue HD3 15" and a PA A3000....

do tell me why? tell me what differences there are from an old model L5 to L7 and justify spending 200 bucks more than he has to after selling his l5's for L7's.

Yes, I've even used the DMM on it to check. I'm running at 1 ohm.
