L5 or L7????

i'm looking to get ride of my one 15" L5 and get two 12" subs. i just can't decide whether it's worth the extra cash to buy two 12" L7 rather then 2 12" L5. there's only 300 watt difference in them. would 2 12" L5's be able to handle a zx1500.1 or two zx750.1? these are the different set up i'm looking to get but i want some input first before i just jump into this.

I would go with l7's, the price difference between the two isnt that much and you will be happier in the long run...

i got the 08 12" L5 it's pretty efficient bein in a ported box tuned to 34 hz. can't wait to get another car and see what it sounds like in that.

so everyone seems to think it's worth the extra money to buy the L7's instead of the L5? because i can get two of the L5's shipped to my door for a little under 300 but for the two L7's it would cost me a little over 400 so more then a 100 dollar difference for 300 watts more. could the L5's handle a zx1500.1 and not have any problem?

sure it could.

you'd just set your gain to a certain voltage with a dmm at whatever load your sub is wired for.

The l5s would take the 1500 no problem. My buddy has a 15 off a zx750 and it takes every bit of the 800+wrms no problem. If your gonna go with the L7s I would deffinately get more power though. They will get loud off of the 1500 but youll want more. I would go for the l7s myself.
