L5 or L7 solobaric

I have 2 Kicker DX 700S and they each give out 761 and 771 RMS at a 2 ohm load respectively.

For budget reasons I would like 2 L5's (600 rms a piece) , but I am not sure how they will handle the extra 161 and 171 watts of power per sub. Is it bad for them? If it is indeed bad on the subs i will have to get the L7 model which is 750 rms.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would buy the L7s but I suppose if you kept the gains down the L5s will be ok.

Yeah...that's what I have been hearing. I will get the L5s for budget reasons and I will probably never compete. Just go to a DB Drag to see where I am at.

L5s are nice but i think a 15L7 = 2 12L5s. thats what i think.

What about a single 15L7 with a DX700 on each voice coil?

Wouldn't that be cheaper, louder, and cleaner than two L5's.....?

Yea it would be louder than 2 L5s. But i dunno how much price wise they run.

i think the L5's would be louder and they can handle the extra power. a L5 8' is rated at 150rms? i was giving it well over 600rms daily in a 2.5 ported box and its still not blown
