I have bought two L5 12's 4ohm model and a KX1200.1 and have made a custom sealed box.. now... I'm having second thoughts.. is this set-up alright? I know the KX1200.1 put out more than just 1200 watts RMS and each L5 is rated for 600 watts RMS.

I have a custom built 200 amp alternator also..

Plan on doing the "big 3" while im installing the above.

dose anybody see anything wrong with what i'm doing?

Edit.. Also I'm Using 0/1 guage wire for all power transfer.

and 12 guage for the speaker wire.

Are those L5's SVC 4ohm or DVC?, if SVC I dont see how you can get the 1ohm load.

Otherwise, thumbs up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I was just wondering because of the RMS power being higher than 600 to each L5 or more specificly more than 300 to each coil...

a side question.. how should I wire the subs? with a wire to each terminal/post so 4 wires to each +/- socket on the amp? or two wires to each sub with the single wire connecting both +/- posts on the subs.

I realise both are an 1ohm load and both are wired in parallel.

Another question.. should I spec out each speaker wire to be the same exact length down the the milimeter so not to create more resistance than the other?

*Just try to keep them close to the same distance, down to the last millimeter is not nessesary.
