Im not using a cap though, when I got the car it had the caps in there, I took the caps out and put a red top in the trunk.

Well again IMO the audiobahn was louder then the kicker amp, it wasnt cleaner but it was louder. It was there for me to use when my amp fried so i used it. It didnt get hot and go into protect like the kicker, I found it funny that the cheap audiobahn seemed to be more reliable then the kicker.

Here is the trunk of my car, all I did was removed the amps from the stupid board they had over the sub box, disconnected the caps, and put in a battery, and cleaned up the wire mess. Again this picture is of when I first got the car, and has the caps that I removed.

And I also give the a2300hct credit for running half of stable mono with two 15inch digital design 3500s in my friends mazda which is his daily driver. Yet to have a problom with it, i also installed it and tuned the amp. More audiobahn for the win I guess that has yet to fail him, or had to be redone. I think there are pictures in my gallery of that.

im not going to get involved in this debate, i only have this to add...

Im not saying it is a long time, but I think I have an idea of what im doing, since Ive never yet had a problom on any install I ever did.

imo kicker is crap... I bought a car with two 12 inch solo l7s dual 4 ohm coils, and powering my subs was a kx1200.1 which fried after replacing the 2 1 farad caps with an optima redtop. I dont know how that works but ok... Then I fried my rear left channel on my kicker kx650.4, ok fine and dandy, amp still worked then just this morning the amp decided to go ahead and fry my front left and right, leaving 1 working channel. Again how this works, I dont know. It was only pushing 2 sets of pioneer 5.25 comps, but oh well. I have nothing to say but dont waste your money on kicker. Bye audiobahn, diss it all you want but my buddys audiobahn a1300hcq that was borrowed to me pushed the two l7s louder then the kx1200.1, which is a way cheaper amp in price and quaility.

i would consider this a problem with an install...
