we're talking baou our good friends over at kicker....

are the differances between the kx's and sx's.... i researched with the search button about the sx 1250.1 vs the kx 1200.1 and couldnt find much other than a slight power differance. i know they're both under rated, and the newer line probly just a little more.

and what do the zx's have that the sx's lack?

The main advantage of the SX-series Kicker amps is the built-in DSP.

See this page from Crutchfield's archives for a decent explanation of the processing built into the SX1250.1 that simply isn't present in the KX and ZX amps.

Wow. Are you an idiot? Apparently you didn't research at all if you don't even know the differences.

Th SX series is Kicker's higher end line of amplifiers.

The ZX is there normal line of amplifiers. The main difference b/w the ZX and KX is the addition of a few amplifiers, little revampage as far as models/power go, cosmetics, but mainly the same boards and such.

The SX is just their flagship line. You can go fully active using the SX series, with any HU... hell even a stock HU.

I run 7 active channels of amplification using the SX amps. If you just want to run a sub, then SX is NOT a worthwhile investment IMO. I must say, they do have balls though.

imo kicker is crap... I bought a car with two 12 inch solo l7s dual 4 ohm coils, and powering my subs was a kx1200.1 which fried after replacing the 2 1 farad caps with an optima redtop. I dont know how that works but ok... Then I fried my rear left channel on my kicker kx650.4, ok fine and dandy, amp still worked then just this morning the amp decided to go ahead and fry my front left and right, leaving 1 working channel. Again how this works, I dont know. It was only pushing 2 sets of pioneer 5.25 comps, but oh well. I have nothing to say but dont waste your money on kicker.

Bye audiobahn, diss it all you want but my buddys audiobahn a1300hcq that was borrowed to me pushed the two l7s louder then the kx1200.1, which is a way cheaper amp in price and quaility.
