KX 1200.1 goes into protect....

So, i've had the amp for about 6 months now. It's only putting out 600rms at 2ohms, as thats all I have the speaker running at. Well, I was driving today with it on, and it started to cut in and out, then went straight into protect mode. I checked out all the wires, and everything is fine. No fuses are blown etc. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Just can't seem to find the problem.
