We shopped for a Buick Rendezvous or Pontiac Aztac so we could get >18 cubes and still have room for kids, grocieries and such and avoid getting a minivan. Explorers, Blasers, Bravadas, and the like we'ren't nearly enough.

Basically we are walling the hatchback. >20 cubes, 8" port. This is temporary until a 21" or 22" driver of similar specs is finished. ( >30mm Xmax,

I originally designed it to have the sub on top and port on bottom, but once the 22" is in, side by side works better.

yes. I prefer to think of it as a driver with an Xmax of 30mm and an Fs of 22Hz ( a tad too high for me, but it's temporary till the 22" is done which will most likely be lower)

Not only walled, but ported as well... if I just did a wall and left the rear "open" it still wouldn't be enough airspace to qualify as a "true" IB. IB requires 10 times the Vas on both sides, this subs Vas is 13.7 cubic feet... it would need no less than 137 cubic feet on each side.

Scott of Fi is working on a 22" IB3 that will have the same Vd as two of the IB3 18's. Kevin Haskins of Exodus Audio is doing a 21" Maelstrom-X, and eventually the 21" Sicko implementing the Parthenon motor, a 4" coil, 4000 RMS and more Xmax than the 06' XXX.

I will run mine with a pair of Kicker 2500.1's
