Meh, if you aren't breaking the law you most likely aren't going to get in trouble. Hell alot of times even if you are breaking the law you aren't going to get in trouble. So a few people get caught in the crossfire, shit happens and no profession is perfect. Plus, if I want to grow trees in my house, I should have the right to do so. I do try to grow tomatoes in my house, as they don't grow well in the winter. Are you suggesting the police has the right to kick in my door over that?

I don't use enough electricity to go over the flat rate plateu. They have been talking about doing this variable rate electricty plan where you pay as a function of when and how much you use it, but consumer rights people are protesting, calling it an invasion of privacy. I'd gladly let them invade my privacy so I can pay for the electricity (and water) that I use. Hell, my neighbors look at me funny for watering the grass as much as I do...

Ever seen the show 'Weeds'? When the town's Church has their lighted cross stolen, they use thermal imaging and see it being used in the grow house, providing light for the marijuana. lol

love that show.

But yeah. Grow lights consume a lot of power.. plus you have light cycles. lots of power + cycles = kick door.
