i have two 12" konaki 1207a i really like em. we did have the problem with the spider coming unglued but i put some two ton epoxy and its still going strong. We put one in a 3cf box @30hz with a gto1201.1 and a yellow top optima in a 94 toyota camry and it was very impressive.

How were they on the low end? What weould you compare them to? What kind of power do you think it would take daily?

he wanted 200 but i talked him down probably because when he popped his trunk he had a 12" mach 5 audio. he said he bought them for 125 each new and there is a place somewhat by me that sells em for 300. I called and the shop and they said they had two with a colossus on em and they hit 155 im pretty sure he was bullshtin by the way i found the vid on youtube and noticed it said pasadena tx.

It killed on the low end but as for power the jbl seemed to push it pretty easy but then again i was afraid to put power to it because i didnt hear alot of reviews about em either.

the older ones the glues holding the spiders would let loose, the newer ones have a plastic ring the screws down and holds the spider so it wont come unattached

I have a newer version sitting on the floor

I believe the only differences are:

lower fs

fixed spider problem

d2 instead of d1

the konaki subs i used (v2;s) took 1500 watts each no problem. And that was with no break in period. Very impressive for the price, and didn't sound half bad either! I wish I could have found another one. I had to pull teeth to find the pair, i wanted 3 of them.

Do you think that 2500 would be too much for 1? Were they musical and low?

sorry for interupting your question but do you think if i put two with that jbl gto1201.1 and that yellow top optima i will need a better alternator because just that one killed that camrys alternator.

im not really an expert when it comes to sq but it sounded very clean to me.
