Kole Audio KX1-5500d ... any experience?

i have a soundstream ega1700d and am lookin at a kole audio KX1-5500d to get about 3K out of. found a deal on one and was wondering if anybody has experience with them. the reviews on sonicelectronix are good but you know how some of the noobs can be. does anybody know much about them or their output/current draw?

Are you serious about going to this over rated pile of crap from a ega1700d ?!?! are you crazy ?? this thing only puts out about 1600 watts rms at 14.4 volts and then will probably catch on fire.

hmm well i dont know anything about kole. the ega does rated power and draws a good 100 amps doing it according to online reviews. idk what the deal with kole is though.

I just told you the deal with Kole, they are over rated and put out 50% of rated rms. It's the same company as power acoustik.(JUNK)

my friend had one in his escort on two audiobahn eternal 12s. and it was pretty loud. the amp ended up blowing up though. he had a so called 250 amp alt and and two batts. but for when it was working it was loud

I have a kole amp and am pretty satisfied with it tbh...

me too. The funny thing is people go off of word of mouth more than experience. I personally had that amp and still have it. I have had it for a few months and I was pushing a Fi Bl 18" at 2 ohms and it is 1 ohm stable. I didn't have a friend who had one, I had one. You never know why his amp blew. He say she say is a dangerous thing. Oh yeah companies do a thing called new models, which means newer amp boards and such. Look at kicker. They have some crappy amps, but they also have tight amps. People and their biases....TTT!!

Look at the fuse rating of 150 amps, that tells you right there it's over rated...lol

In reality that amp could only do 1620 watts.

150amps x 75% efficiency x 14.4 = 1620 watts.

Even if it was 100% efficient (NO F'IN WAY) it wouldnt put out 3200 rms.....

Look at every amp that has about the same fuse rating and they are right at 1500 watts. Where can you buy 3200 REAL WATTS for $215 NEW? No where. Kole is the same as Power Acoustik and SPL...trash.

yeah the math is pretty much correct. well i have the EGA-1700 and a kicker CVX that im selling for some extra cash or a trade or something.
