Yes a stainless steel vacuum thats indestructible over a cheap Chinese piece of plastic. Great logic.Kirbys ****, and I don't mean in a good way.
Dyson > *
My dyson is not cheaply made. Plastic doesn't automatically equate to poor build. And you call my logic into question? Nothing I do with the vacuum calls for it to be made out of bomb-proof metal. It does what it should in a more convenient package for me.I need less weight in the vac and convenience. My Dyson beats the snot out of a Kirb in that dept.Yes a stainless steel vacuum thats indestructible over a cheap Chinese piece of plastic. Great logic.
The Rainbows are good, but they are meant for people with allergies. Thats why they use water to trap crap in the floor so it doesnt float in the air. My mom has one and she hates it. I like the shampooer it has. Its easy to clean car carpets with.
My dad still has a Kirby that he picked up at a garage sale in '87 for $15. Has only had the power cord replaced to match standards with a ground for safety. Other than that its never been broke and still works perfect.
Selling vacuums? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifhas anyone ever been a "sales dealer" for them? i got a job doing it, almost done with "challenge week" and I'm slowly starting to wonder if i am wasting my time?
What about the Oreck? I don't think the dyson is lighter than that.My dyson is not cheaply made. Plastic doesn't automatically equate to poor build. And you call my logic into question? I also pointed out that I hate their business model. I don't buy from companies that piss me off. Seems fairly straightforward as logic goes.
The ball sucks. Mine is not a ball. What about the Oreck? I don't think the dyson is lighter than that.
I also don't know about the value of that "swivel ball".
Real life proof? Have you used both?We use to have one than we got a dyson it picks up soooo much more than the kirby or any other vac for that matter.
Then I don't know what you are smoking because I have used many and as far as pickup, they are about the same. I think cannisters do better pick up, but lose in every other facet. I don't see either the kirby or Dyson picking up more than the other. I just find Dyson much more convenient. maintenance/cleaning is a cinch too.Real life proof? Have you used both?
Personally I have and the Dyson doesnt touch what a Kirby picks up.
Ooooooh suction.I honestly think my moms old *** filter queen has the most suction from any vacuum, I have ever used. All attachments are located on the cannister so easy retrieval, but it is a cannister and quite frankly just not as easy to lug around room to room like uprights. But it is a beast. I hear tri-stars have a lot of suction too, but they are cans as well.
WE HAVE A WINNER!My moms 30 year old filter queen still runs too, but I am not using it daily to clean a house. It is a big fat inconvenient pig. By todays standards with cyclonic tech being place in many mainstream vacs, Kirby is outdated. I don't necessarily need it to last 30 years over other attributes I care about. From those standpoints, the kirby sux. Now go in the corner and ******** to your kirby.
and even I traded our 40 yr old Kirby for a newer dyson and our dyson isnt quite as good but it does what it needs to, so now we have a royal as well. $500 and it came with a free $200 canister vac as well.My dyson is not cheaply made.
