Kimbo vs Tyson?

This really hits a nerve with me, because if you watch the Tyson fights from the 80s, he could have been the best fighter of all time. There has never been a better match of speed and power...ever. Tyson made a series of bad choices when his mentor died, and dropped his trainer for no real good reason, and signed on with Don King. He then became a headhunter, looking for one punch to KO someone, rather than working the body and throwing combos like he did when he was 19 and 20 years old. In his prime, Tyson would have murdered Kimbo, literally. Kimbo is slow and telegraphs punches...Tyson was much quicker in his day...no doubt however that Kimbo would win now...for christs sake Tyson lost his last fight against Danny Williams...

This really hits a nerve with me, because MMA is nothing but a money trap, minus UFC. Boxing will always be more prestigous, and just an overall better sport.

how is it such a better overall sport? especially when you are taking that sport (boxing) and incorporating it with all other types of fighting into one?

I think he should and pair him up with a good fighter. Not even the best, just someone who has talent and all around game and then see what happens to him.

They say he is getting better on the ground, but I will see it when I believe it. I mean, nothing wrong with throwing punches and what not and I am sure he is strong as an ox, but he is so overhyped it isn't even funny.

nothing is wrong with me. my english lacks skill, but my fighting doesnt . for all those people saying i wont last i wish i had my promoter to offer some cash to fight kimbo so far who has he fought. ill let u know y i think i can beat kimbo on stand up and submission . im 1. 20 years old(condition). 2. im 6-2 280 lbs(if i fought him id drop to 250-240 . 3 ive studies kimbo all he realy has is hands(i will never play his game as a slugger)4.ive done karate since i was 12 years old ive developed techniques for my streghts and tons of balance. i am a muay thai based fighter not boxer every time he comes in for a punch i can 1 footjab 2 round house 3leg chop 4 jab. belive me i seriously think i can take kimbo. car audio is cool but i put more time in fighting then this . even tho kimbo trains with bas, i dought bas has taught him a great kickin technique and most important u cant teach balance all it take is kimbo to leave his hand down just a bit and he can get kicked in many places(head,ribs.legs ) and i got a nice right hand for him if he even tryes to kick. like i said ill win his best bet is to try and ground and pound . even then i still am studying bjj and i know how to hang in their with orange belts . please if u dont know me dont dought me .as for english skills, sorry i am busy doing many stuff around the house

hopefully by next year i get some amature kickboxing fights in.then (7 if i win all i will look into going pro,then ill find A GOOD PROMOTER) so far im doing smokers around town and looking for better people to train with as far as me being fat yeah 280 is fat let me start drooping to around 240 230 then ill be lean post a pic it dont matter to me like me . IM NOT ONE TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY . some of the 230-220 good in shape heavy weights have a real hard time hanging in their when it comes to sparing as far as condition if u realy want, ask me to put up a vid on youtube if u say run 5miles i say ok . i do 10 rounds of jump rope for excersize every day some of u talking shit can barely walk so by all means and with all do respect stfu u dont know me.
