take away the main event and the card isnt all that great. there are alot of big names on the card, but alot of guys that are out of their prime. i would love to see arlovski fight on this though.

and this card could be bad for the company. they are pretty much blowing their load with alot of their big name fighters. its going to be interesting to see if they can sustain any type of footing in the mma business.

i think i might be one of the only people that actually like dana white. he is awfully cocky and that might be one of the reasons i do like him. he is a smart businessman if you ask me.

how is it such a better overall sport? especially when you are taking that sport (boxing) and incorporating it with all other types of fighting into one?

Its a better overall sport because youtube backyard brawlers would never make it to a nationally televised match, ever. Don't get me wrong, MMA is a good sport, but until you can put the two best fighters in the ring together (Fedor vs. whoever) then it will continue to be just a cult following.

oh, and here's my opinion.. Kimbo is very strong and explosive and has very good boxing, head movement and footwork.. great K.O. power and ability to bully his way around the ring or cage.. his downfall, his cardio is yet to be tested.. he dropped 30lbs since training with Bas Rutten a year ago, but i have not seen or heard of his "superior cardio" and it has been documented that Bas Rutten , a legend, has been training him.. he hasnt exceled at his ground game.. im sure he will catch on sometime but he has alot to learn.. his submissions, sub defense, ju jitzu, take down defense and all is yet to be tested...
he will beat James Thompson, he rushes in and tries to throw.. he has sub-par power and a glass chin... that = sleepy time

u forgot to mention that he has no balance when it comes to muay thai hes a boxing/slugger based fighter not to impressive . he would lose against a good brazillian dude who can go to the ground and a good striker at the say time i can see him get dominated by gabriel gonzaga . unless kimbo does a randy slam then gabe is out. only reason i think kimbo learned the ground is because hes build for slugging and ground came easy to him. i am a kimbo fan i love to see a *****aa get ****ed up on youtube . but he doesnt deserve a shot at the sport like hes been getting with his name everywhere . he might be huge one day but reality is "REALITY KINGS" IS SPENDING TONS OF MONEY TO SEND HIM TO THE BEST TRAINERS and kimbos time will run out how old is he btw i still think the best started when they where young and they are like that "mike tyson in his prime at age 18-20 i would ike to see what tyson would do with kimbo if he was given 6 mos to train and take it seriosly

so you are telling me that every boxing match that is put together are the 2 best boxers out there? and it is hard to put top guys like fedor in the ring when their asking price is at least 2M a fight.

Not saying that at all, but boxing matches get closer to putting together closer competition than MMA. But there is more of a possibility that Cotto will fight Mayweather than any MMA deal involving Fedor and anybody worth a shit. Ever since Pride went under, MMA has fallen in quality (not popularity). I have watched MMA since 1999 or so, and the quality of the fights now is laughable. But lets look at this...the two best fighters in boxing are Cotto and Mayweather, I don't think this is arguable and they have a good chance of fighting each other next year. Fedor is the best MMA fighter, but who has he been fighting for the past 2 years? Nobody. The best fighter in boxing would not sit around for two years and fight what is equivalent to circus clowns. Since he is signed with M-1 now (IIRC) he still will be fighting nobodies unless he goes over to DREAM. Still, thats not the UFC. MMA is too spread out, and it is too hard to pick the best fighters because Randy Couture, who is probably reguarded as the second best fighter in MMA has a record of 16-8...how the hell can you lose 8 times and be reguarded as a top notch fighter. I like MMA, and will be getting the PPV this week, mostly to see Jardine murder Wandy, but boxing is an art, a national pastime, and more importantly not just a sport for those looking for bloodlust.

lol he changed opinion .but i still realy dont see kimbo as a real good fighter. i mean he knows how to punch (hard too) .but he doesnt realy have anything else yet .his ground is sloppy i dont know how he got mercer with that submission but ,on the tank fight cmon kimbo looked evil in shape and tank sadly diidnt. and against cantrelle he just chased bo over the ring and landed a nice punch (one hit ko) dont get me wrong hes ok but still beatable versus someone with alot of technique and experience kimbo realy doesnt have technique i seen him kick =no good i seen him punch=hes good their seen him in bjj = can use more work. they should put kimbo vs brock lesnar that would make a great fight .if they wanna see kimbo get murder unless kimbo becomes a black belt in bjj he wont have a chance.
