kicker zx1500.1 vs JBL GTO14001

I know someone who is undecided on which model to buy

I suggest the JBL because it 1500 RMS 2ohm and 1200RMS 4 ohm

And Kicker gives 1500 RMS 2 ohm and 750 RMS 4 ohm

What do you think?

I think if he needs a 2 ohm final load it won't matter which one he goes with. Why would you care about the 4 ohm rating? I personally would choose the kicker, but i'm biased

because an amp that does full power at 4 ohms too gives you better options for different sub configurations. If he ever had a dual 2 that he bought/came across for example then he could still run it full boar at 4 ohms. Not a big deal to alot of people, but its a nice option. I had a zx 1500.1, and am running a zx 1000.1 right now. There decent amps, but the subsonic is fixed 25hz. does the JBL have an adjustable subsonic?

Jbl, no question about it.

They are both good amps. Given a choice between the two I'd pick the JBL.

I have used Kicker and JBL amps and both were very good to me. I don't think you'd be disappointed with either.

i have dealt with both jbl and kicker, not these exact amps, but both preformed exceptionally well. the kicker will obviously be underated, thats a fact, but JBL amps are built great, and have lower thd. the jbl i would choose over kicker, just in my opinion.

kicker is good but this model jbl has more a relationship quality and price

for a good cost
