Kicker ZX 500.1 or ZX 750.1

I currently have a Quantum Audio QSA 1000d amp pushing my Kicker CVR 12. I want to upgrade. Will the Kicker ZX 500.1 power my Kicker CVR 12 or should I go with the Kicker ZX 750.1?

if ya can afford the kicker 750 then it will do the job and allow you to keep your gain down alittle and have a little head room.

a 750 is way too much for a cvr don't forget they're under-rated.... my sx750.1 has a birthsheet over 940 watts.... a sx 550.1 is still plenty of head room they're only rated for 400 watts rms my gain is down on my 750.1 and my 12"L7 will get warm after beating on it a few songs...

the 500 has some head room... you don't need to send double the power to a chinese made sub.. end of story... and 2 kickers aren't 1 ohm stable.. so he can't just "add" another he'd need to buy 2 dual 2's ... end of story the 500.1 is perfect for a cvr

i never said he had to use all the power from the amp, and i was giving him an example with adding another CVR, its possible to have dual 2 CVRs, did not look at his sig to see he has a 4 ohm one.

I still think the OP is barking up the wrong tree by wanting to switch amps because he is not satisfied with the sound. IMHO he would be better served by building a custom enclosure better adapted to his vehicle than using what appears to be a pre-fab enclosure.

OTOH, I have no idea how clean the 500 watts from a Quantum is.
